21. Pre/Post Surgery Massage (DLM)

Service Description

YOU MAY PURCHASE ONE SESSION BEFORE PURCHASING A PACKAGE. DLM OR MLD is widely used throughout European hospitals and clinics,aka Deep Tissue Massage. It is accepted worldwide as the primary tool in lymphoedema treatment & management. Discomfort, swelling and bruising are common after these procedures and the flow of lymph can be interrupted by the surgery, which can result in reduced healing, fibrosis (scar tissue, dimpled, uneven skin and the possibility of developing seromas (pockets of serous fluid). MLD decongests the lymphatic system, bringing back normal texture, definition and tone to the skin and reduces swelling and bruising. If you have multiple procedures simultaneously (liposuction, breast work and tummy tuck), MLD will be even more necessary to address swelling and tissue hardness. MLD is the only Manual & Natural treatment that positively activates the lymphatic system to remove the accumulation of waste products and old blood cells in the tissue, thereby reducing swelling, bruising and tissue hardness. How many sessions needed?, this will depend on your surgeon’s recommendations, but it is usually a minimum of 4 - 6 treatments post–surgery for liposuction, or possibly more, 8+ for other types of surgery. Ideally, patients should have at least one MLD treatment 24-48 hours prior to surgery and after. MLD = MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE. Our prices are inclusive of 21% IVA

Cancellation Policy

Our Cancellation Policy We value your business and ask that you respect Sesen spa's scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us with least 48 hours in advance for a FREE CANCELLATION & to avoid being charged. Any cancellations with less than 48 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee amounting to at least 50% of the price of the service booked. Should you be late for more than 15 minutes to your appointment, a charge of 15€ will be added to your total. No Shows are charged 100% of the price of the services booked.
